Easter

We had a fun Easter weekend with family. Saturday we had Jim, Mary, and Jimmy over for dinner. Rachel couldn't come because she was sick-we missed her. Namma and Dapa brought Easter baskets for all the kids and so did Jimmy. They are some lucky kiddies! We all had a nice time visiting.

On Sunday morning we had an Easter egg hunt for the kids downstairs in the basement since it was cold out and then we gave them some little gifts. Hannah and I went to church at Ginger Creek and she was very good. For the rest of the day we just did our usual naps and play. It was a very nice weekend.

Signing Joshy

I just thought this pic was cute featuring Josh using sign language for "more." He uses it ALL the time now. All the kids use it for more milk, and Josh actually signs "eat" now too. He knows his priorities!

Spring??

Well, our weather continues to keep us on our toes. This past week we had 50 degree days and went for a couple of walks in the evenings, and then yesterday we had 2-3 inches of snow! Today is sunny and seems to be melting the snow away, so there's hope for spring yet!

Last weekend we met mom and dad in St. Joe to visit as it'd been about 9 weeks since we'd seen them last. They got the kids cute Easter goodies and souvenirs from Sanibel. Thanks mom and dad! Here are some pics...

Yesterday and today I have been getting ready for Easter dinner (that we're having today) with Jim, Mary, Jimmy, Rachel, the kids, and Pat. Hope it all tastes good! Everyone is coming over in a couple of hours. Tomorrow for Easter we hope to take the gang to church and then come home and hunt for some Easter eggs. Happy Easter to all!

Next is more Hilton Head prep!! The countdown is on...

Ryan Trying "Smiles" for the 1st Time

We thought this was too funny, so grabbed the camera to capture it and share. We made those "Smiles" by McCain the other night for dinner and Ryan thought they were just hilarious...take a look!

First Real Haircuts!

Josh and Ryan got their first haircuts tonight at Cookie Cutters. It was cute because they got to sit in a police car and watch Clifford on the little flat screen tv. Ryan went first and did really well and just let the stylist do her job. Joshy, as expected, got his pouty lip as soon as we set him in the police car and she put his cape on. The stylist gave him a sucker tho' and when he finally closed his mouth to taste it, then he was totally fine. He started steering the wheel of the car and going handsfree with his sucker as you can see in his pic. Our little cutie boys. Little Hannah did great too as she went along and played in the playroom. She got to sit in a firetruck and have a sucker too.

Carousel Trauma

This morning we took the kids to the mall because Hannah has been dying to go on the Carousel and when I'm by myself it's too hard with all three of them. She was so excited. We got there a little earlier than it opened and she kept saying, "I can't wait!" All five us sat in one thing that kind of rocked or went up and down. Everything was fine at first, but then it started going a little faster and I was getting whoosy and Josh must've been too, b/c he started bawling with a pouty little lip and didn't stop until it was over. Poor guy. Then we got in the elevator to leave the Carousel area and he started crying in there too! No more motion!!!

Well, it's really nice and warm today (relatively speaking) and it's a nice change!!

Fun in the City

Today, Hannah and I met Kerri and her kids and Heather downtown Chicago for a day of shopping and hanging out with friends. Hannah had a slow start, but settled down and had a good time seeing all the skyscrapers and shopping with mommy. We went to Watertower Place, H&M, Filene's, and ate lunch at a pizza place in 900 North. Time went way too fast, but it was fun to see Kerri and Heather! Tomorrow it's supposed to be 51 degrees here!
