Memorial Day Weekend

We had a low-key Memorial Day Weekend at home this year. The kids swam a bit in the "cool tub," we did a little shopping, went for dinner to Jim and Mary's with Rachel and Jimmy, and played outside. Hannah, Josh, and Ryan like to play Play Doh outside too, so here are some of Hannah's creations in the pics.

Hannah's Preschool Graduation

Hannah had her last day of preschool this morning. At 10:30am, I went to go see their graduation program in her classroom. They sang songs, and Mrs. Lazzara gave them each a certificate and a medal and said a little something about each child. It was cute. I can't believe she's already done with preschool! Yikes! Hannah said she was really going to miss her teacher. In the photos are Hannah with Mrs. Lazzara, Hannah and her friend Alyssa, and her with her class. Way to go, Hannah!!

Dr. Binor's Blackberry Farm Party

Our former Dr., Dr. Binor held a 15th Anniversary Party today at Blackberry Farm where everything was free. They had cake, cotton candy, ice cream bars, and more. The kids got to ride the carousel, ponies, train, and hayride. Dr. Binor had a short speech, they gave away some raffle prizes, and recognized all the nurses. I brought Hannah first separately so the boys could get a nap in on this busy weekend. It was fun to have just mommy and Hannah time for a couple of hours. The difference between Hannah and the boys is so amazing. She wanted to visit the old schoolhouse, the pottery cabin, the spinning cabin, and the old streets display before she wanted to do any rides. She told me, "I like the discovery things" when I asked her if she wanted to go to the rides. It was so cute.

Pat brought the boys a little later and Hannah wanted it to still be just her and me-awww! When they got there we rode the ponies again, the train, the carousel, and got some more snacks. It was a beautiful weather day too. Here are some pics...

1st Dance Recital

This weekend has been Hannah's first ballet dance rehearsal and recital so we've been busy with hair buns, make up, costume, and performances. To be on stage, the dancers need to wear makeup and Hannah was most excited about this! She loved every minute of me putting it on her, and wouldn't want to wash it off until right before bed. She even asked me if she could wear makeup tomorrow too!

Hannah did great on stage and didn't look the least bit nervous. They danced to Jack Johnson's "Lullaby" and were too adorable if I do say so myself. Josh and Ryan did great through the recital sitting in the audience with Pat and I too. Afterward we all went to McDonald's for ice cream sundaes to celebrate. Way to go Hannah!!

Mother's Day and Child Dedication

What a great Mother's Day it was this year. We got to spend it with both my mom and Pat's mom, plus we got the kids dedicated at church on Sunday too. Uncle Jim and Aunt Rachel came to celebrate with us all too. We were so happy and fortunate to have family join us on this special day. The kids also had a singing part in the service too, so that was cute. Ryan stole the spotlight during the Child Dedication, but you'll just have to watch that for yourself in this little clip...

After church we all met back at our house for a Mother's Day brunch and a celebration of Hannah's birthday too. We had scrambled egg casserole, cheesy hash brown casserole, fresh fruit salad, Belgian waffles, and asparagus with Boursin cheese wrapped in prosciutto. We had to top that off with some chocolate cake for the birthday girl. Hannah opened some presents, we said goodbye to the family, and everyone went to naps! A great Mother's Day 2010!

Rachel's Baby Shower

We had a busy weekend that included my sister-in-law's baby shower on Saturday. It was at Maggiano's and the food was sooo yummy!! Everything was beautifully done and Rachel and Jim got all the goodies they'll need for baby Lily when she's ready to arrive! Hannah went with me too and had a great time hanging out with Rachel's niece, Isabel. She was so excited that it was at Maggiano's too as she loves to eat there. Too bad she really only ate the fried mozzarella and bread! I guess I did get her to eat some mostaccioli with marinara in order for her to earn some M&M's. I even got Pat's mom to try calamari for the first time! She didn't like it by the way, but at least she tried it :)

Hannah's Actual Birthday :)

Tuesday when Hannah woke up (early and excited) we gave her the presents from us...her first big girl bike and matching Barbie helmet and bell. She loved it! After that we surprised her with a trip to the zoo to see the new Great Bear Wilderness exhibit. They had a preview for zoo members since it doesn't officially open until May 8, so we were excited to go see it. Pat is working nights for 2 days, so it worked out that he could go in the morning. It was a gorgeous day and the kids had lots of fun. The exhibit is so much bigger for the bears, bison, and wolves. The kids liked the swimming polar bear the best. Enjoy the pics...

Hannah's 5th Birthday Party-St. Joe

Over the weekend we went to St. Joe to celebrate Hannah's 5th birthday! I can't believe she's five already! I guess everybody always says that, but it's so true that time flies and they grow old too fast. It was a beautiful day for having the fam over to mom and dad's cottage for a party. Hannah requested a Barbie cake about a month ago, so I had to deliver. She and I checked out some how-to websites and had fun baking and decorating. After having cake we all visited while some of the kids played in the back yard. Hannah opened presents and after that Papa suggested we all go the new Silver Beach Carousel. What a good idea! It was really fun that we all went over there for a ride. The kids (and adults too!) looked so happy and had a great time riding their favorite carousel horses, tigers, flamingo, etc. Some of us got a little dizzy-I won't name any names, but we all made it through (for the time being). After the carousel, the kids checked out the funhouse mirrors and amusement park replica in miniature. Grandma Bursley suggested we go get some pizza at Silver Beach Pizza, so all 20 of us walked over and got right in! I don't think all of us have ever gone out to eat like that, kids and all, so it was a great time. Thanks to everybody for coming and celebrating with us! Love ya all!
